Hepburn Council Skillion Shelter
Hepburn Council, near Daylesford in regional Victoria, contacted Terrain Group looking for a shelter for Creswick’s new splash park. The splash park is a free area where kids can play in the water streams during hot weather, something that has become popular in a lot of squares around Australia in recent years.
The specified shelter had to fit into a prescribed area without conflicting with existing infrastructure. None of the standard shelter sizes fit this requirement, therefore a customised Skillion shelter was agreed upon, in a 10m x 4m size. The clear anodised aluminium finish kept the area looking light and, as always with Terrain’s anodised aluminium, it’s hard wearing and resilient to central Victoria’s harsh climate.
The shelter was installed by the local Hepburn Council’s own installation team, who did a fantastic job, installing the shelter with subsurface post fixings to keep the structure looking clean and modern.
