Custom furniture for Stockmans Hall of Fame, Longreach.
The Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame is a museum located in Longreach, Queensland, which pays tribute to pioneers of the Australian outback.
After an extensive and recent external upgrade, the site is now open to the public and operational again.
Woollam Constructions completed the construction of the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame in 1987 and were re-engaged by the client to build a new food and beverage facility in 2008. The museum contains three halls, with display decks on four levels, connected by a diagonal ramp to lead visitors through the exhibition displays. The complex uses the steelwork technology and techniques that were current at the time of construction and is referred to as the ‘Opera House of the Outback’.
Further recent external upgrade works were also carried out by Woollam Constructions. Terrain Group was invited to participate and design custom fabricated furniture for the project.
Terrain Group worked closely with O2LA Landscape Architects to develop a suite of furniture for use on site to serve a range of functions, including round stools with matching tables, straight benches, matching curved benches and billabong platforms.
Terrain Group fabricated the furniture using Pacific Crows Ash timber with Wattyl Weatherguard Natural. Shop drawings were provided for client pre-approval prior to manufacture, ensuring that we met the brief and expectations of the client.
Our sensitive freighting policy ensures that our products always arrive at their destination in perfect, factory condition. Now installed, the finished products look fantastic and are being well used by patrons and visitors to this historic venue.

The custom made platforms for the billabong precincts were supplied in sections and assembled on installation.
Our custom made curved seating follows a new stone wall and was simply placed together on site to create one long seating section.
Café series round tables and stools were made to compliment the seating.
