We all know how important the Office of Australian War Graves (OAWG) is and for those who don’t I’ll give you a quick snapshot. There are over 12,000 war graves in Australia, over 1,000 named on Memorials to the missing, and some commemorated in Office of Australian War Graves Gardens of Remembrance. Maintaining war cemeteries and memorials and individual war graves is an important part of their role and is vital to friends, family and all involved.

We don’t often think of the behind the scenes maintenance that goes into keeping such cemeteries and plaques looking their best, but we too got a better understanding when talking to the men and woman in these important roles.

So, what could we offer? Well not only are the graves and plaques themselves in need of ongoing maintenance but so are the beautiful grounds that surround them. This is where Terrain could help.

When OAWG contacts you, and asks if you can do a presentation on irrigation, products and parts…. you say yes!!

Now we hold presentations around our products and services often here at Terrain, but this one seemed a little more special. It was so nice to meet the men and woman of OAWG and find out a little more of what goes on behind the scenes. But what did they walk away with? Well this is what Tristian had to say, “Thank you very much for your time last week to provide OAWG staff with a highly informative presentation on irrigation and on the capabilities of Terrain Group. I am sure all of our staff came away from it with some good nuggets of information on proper care and management of their irrigation facilities and on how Terrain Group can help them”. This was pleasing to hear, all involved walked away with something new. We had done our job.

Like I said, the beautiful grounds that surround the memorials need a lot of care and maintenance and this is where we could help. Here at Terrain we are not just about the designing and maintenance of irrigation systems, but we are here to inform you.

Let us know how we can help.
